Dan
Fisher, Instructor
After
graduating from Bowdoin College Dan began working as
a full-time lobsterman. When not out on the water, he studied
under a Native American Elder, Waynonah Two Worlds. Encouraged
by Waynonah, and inspired by the writings and teachings of
Tom Brown Jr., he began an intensive study of wilderness survival
skills and spiritual awareness. In 1994 Dan founded the Maine-N.H.
Tracker Club, an organization that gathered to practice and
teach survival skills. For over three years he wrote and published
the Maine-N.H. Tracker Newsletter, a monthly newsletter
with articles about survival skills, nature, and spiritual
awareness. In 1997 he founded the Wilderness School.
In December of 2000 he founded Beartraks.
